Hi Marina from Charmaine

We were looking for a bigger dog since we have 3 bulldogs.
We saw the Picture of the American Bulldog in a magazine.

We knew straight away that, that was the kind of dog we wanted.

We booked our puppy by Marina, in December and couldn't wait for them to be born. We kept in contact with Marina and she let us know on the 17th of January 2008 that the puppies were born, 11 of them...

We were so excited! We still had to wait 6 weeks, which felt like a lifetime...
But at last it was time to go and fetch our baby...

We decided to name him Bonzo. He has bought much happiness to the family, and he adapted well with his brother and sisters. He also became the best of friends with our kitten Tiger.

Bonzo is a lovely puppy, and he loves playing. He is an absolute pleasure to have. When we got Bonzo we knew the house training part was still lying ahead, but we didn't even have to teach him to go outside.

He would wake us up during the night if he needed to go outside, we couldn't believe it. If you are looking for a loveable, active and cleaver dog, we would definitely recommend an American Bulldog.

He also loves playing with children... They just grow up too fast… (hehehe)

Marina,

As very happy and satisfied new...brand new owners of Max and Clara, we
would like to thank you for your exceptional proffessional approach,
dedication and help with regards to our little pups.

Our story starts as this...........

As a about to be wedded couple, owning a French Standard Poodle we were
llooking for a dog that would socialze well with Lindi. My first choice from
a guy's perspective was a Pitbull but after researching the breed, I could
actually see a pitbull running round with a Poodle in its mouth.....not good
for the marraige...and the dream of owning a dog-dog went out the window!!!!

After realizing that I actually do not know what else to choose I did some
research. I wanted a guy's type dog, big, strong, masculine but that would
be able to keep the marriage strong by socializing with the Poodle...(Gee I
love my Wife!!!). The American Bulldog breed drew my attention. I read up
and researched......did the proposal with facts and it was approved by the
regime!!!! We fell in love with the breed.

Marina's Blue Kennel was approached as the preferred choice of breeder. She
resides in Hazyview (conveniently close to our honeymoon destination). We
wanted to see the adults. Lovely, Great, Exceptional were words that were
uttered in excitement...never mind the Ohhs and As!!!! We were hooked.

Marina had pups on the way. We booked our intention. Two weeks later, whilst
in Botswana, Marina sent the message that the pups arrived. Excitement!!!!
As soon as we were back, we took another trip to Hazyview...to make the
choices. Instead of only one, Sanet convinced me to take another. Max and
Clara were the chosen ones.

Another 4 weeks went by. A kennel, bowls, toys, bedding and collars were
bought during this time. Shopping madness in anticipation of the arrival
date!!!

On 1 June 2008, we collected Max and Clara......and now we are delighted to
be the PROUD owners of two American Bulldogs.

All inoculations were done by Marina with the needed proof thereof.
Registrations were also done including bloodline history. Max and Clara was
in excellent health and well taken care of. As part of the contractual
obligations, they were taken to the vet for a checkup the next day and were
given a clean bill of health. We also got our first offer for Max....nearly
double the price!!!!! Obviously we declined....there is just NO chance!!!!

We want to thank Marina and her husband Pieter for the service received.
Guys, you are the best....from the start to the end....you proved that you
are what you say you are!!!!!!! Thanks again!!

We promise to keep on sending pics as the little ones grow, going through
their stages. Please post them on the website as proof that this is a truly
exceptional breed. Also, feel free to give out our numbers as a reference to
service excellence.

Thanks again Guys!!!

Christo and Sanet.

Morning Marina

As from growing up with Rotties and now living on my own with horses I wanted to try something Different and reading a article on American bulldogs I started to inquire about them and over timeFound a internet posting because until now it is very difficult to find anyone in south Africa that breeds themAnd after speaking to marina it dawned on me that she isn’t just a day to day breeder she has a passion for her dogsAnd the people she gives them to because I think marina will always say they are still all her family it is truly amazing.because from day one she kept me informed every step of the way and this included.

Helping me find a decent airline company to use to fly the puppy(MOJO) to Namibia and found pet wings to be the best in allAspects of what you could possibly need to transport animals. And on receiving Mojo I have had nothing other that total pleasure with him ,his temperament for a male puppy is yet to be found in other Breeds that I know and the best is a few of my friends all have children and there isn’t a moment he doesn’t enjoy it with them.He has been one of the easiest dogs to train and has learnt very quickly for such a young dog…And now at 6 months old and pushing almost 30Kg he is my gentle giant and would recommend marina to anyone thatWould like to get an American bulldog.

Marina again I say thank you for sharing your passion with me.

Subject: Jules story

Hello all  Marina's Blue kennel readers, let me introduce myself to you
My name is Jules, I am a pure white American bulldog of 2 month old
and I am also the new proud owner of a French artist lady living in
Namibia but let me tell you the story from the start.

Barbara (my new owner), read about Marina's blue kennel in the
Animal talk magazine, she was so impress from the pictures of our
breed that she called imediatly the kennel in South Africa.
Marina our super breeder and her had a long talk together, then
Barbara went on Marina's website to learn more about us, when she
saw how Marina cared about her dogs, giving them love, passion,
respect and  breeding them in the best natural environment Barbara
knew that was the best way to breed dogs and she was convinced
that Marina was the best American bulldog breeder and that her dogs
would be the best temperament possible.

They phoned each other very regulary and  they soon realised that
they shared a lot. Trust and friendship between them show up quickly
The decision was made that Barbara will buy a male puppy in the next
litter.(It was me)

Barbara and Marina shared the same passion for dogs and Barbara
trusted Marina blind (She was right as Marina was always available
for Barbara's questions, always so friendly and patient)

She was phoning every week from Namibia to hear the news about a
litter, but nature is very unpredictable and no litter was in the pipe,
until end of January when finally not one litter but two where in the
pipe, Barbara was so happy that she kept phoning every week to get
some news about the two mothers etc....

You must know  that Barbara had 2 English Bulldogs before
( that's why she love bully dogs so much) and her last male died in
July last year at the old age of 11 years old, leaving her with a broken
heart for months,  so when she saw the American Bulldogs of Marina,
she knew it was the dog of her dream and she could not wait for me
to be born......But it was still a long way to wait!!
When me, my brothers and sisters were born, Barbara had a very
special request for Marina, her wish was to fly to South Africa to help
with the puppies and be totally involve with Marina and the dogs  for
fews days.

Marina who knew now Barbara for 7 months was happy to welcome
her at home.  A long journey start for Barbara to arrived in Haziview.
First driving from Omaruru to Windhoek (Namibia) then fly from
Windhoek to Johannesburg and from Johannesburg to Kruger airport.
But all the tiredness flew away when she and Marina finally meet for
the first time. They felt like they always knew each other.

Marina and Pieter introduced Barbara to the Adults American bulldogs
community, it was full of joy, play , everyone was excited ,dogs and
humans, great fun and happiness.
For Barbara it was her first time in South Africa and she enjoyed every
moment with Marina and Pieter.

Marina teach Barbara how to help with us and Barbara just love it
from day one. Me Jules I can tell you that those 2 ladies were a
delight for our small eyes, so much they were getting along well......
They were the best team possible.

Believe me to take care of 21 puppies you need to love us as much as
they did, feeding us , keep us clean, pampering every one of us with
the same love. When the weather was nice they were putting us in the
garden to be able to enjoy fresh air and returning us before sunset for
us not to catch cold.
We had four mummies to take care of us (isn't it paradise?)

We were a bunch of lucky fellows, believe me.
My new owner felt in loved with every adults specially my dad Finn and my mum Beenie. She had the greatest experience possible to
learn to know our beautiful breed . We, American bulldog, are so
gentle, friendly and beautiful that I am not surprise that she love us
at first sight.

When the day come for Barbara to go back to Namibia, it was sad for her to leave us all, but she had Marina and Peter as news friends and
of course Me Jules. One fantastic experience!!!!

One month later, Marina took me to Johannesburg were I had a flight
to Namibia. Barbara was waiting for me in Windhoek airport.
Now we start our love story and I am telling you, I am a good good
boy and she is the best owner I could dream off
We, Jules and Barbara, we want to thanks Marina and Peter and we
are grateful for everything they did to make possible our story.

They are the best and theirs dogs ( including Me Jules!) too.
We can't wait for you two to come visit us in Namibia.

Barbara Graff
